Can Twitter Help You Win An Oscar…Or Will You Be Out Of Sight, Out of Mind
Happy Oscar night!
Just to clarify something and let you in on a little secret…
(I rarely watch television since I got started online a little less than 3 years ago,
but even I couldn’t resist tonight.)
Not that that’s relevant, but I wanted to share something that is RELEVANT.
Lately there has been much discussion whether Twitter & Social Media is still
worth spending time on, and whether or not it is converting or not.
YES, it’s true that Social Media is constantly evolving and changing,
and there is one thing for certain…
If you are currently NOT on Twitter, Youtube or Facebook for example, with
a unified online presense, your personal and or company brand may be in jeopardy.
The reason you may ask?
These sites are NOT going anywhere at least any time soon. They are still
an incredibly powerful cementing tool to help you increase your profits,
results and to increase your brand presence online.
You see people aren’t likely to visit your website everyday no matter how
famous you are or how much valuable content you create.
The reason that reality shows became so huge is because people love to see the
behind the scenes…
Just like the Oscars tonight on Twitter, with the stars, the fashion , and all
the excitement.
Twitter for example is strengthening The Oscars “Brand” creating an even bigger
BUZZ with social media and guess what it’s F*REE.
TRANSPARENCY and being in the conversation is key, and connecting with your
target audience.
I’m not suggesting you spend all day socializing on social media sites without
taking ACTION in your business… because nothing without action will give you
the results you truly desire.
What I am suggesting is that If you’re not currently leveraging ALL these mediums
I hate to say it, you’re leaving money on the table…
If you’re not seen all over the place and giving your prospects the opportunity
to connect with you via ALL these powerful social media tools then just like in
Hollywood… it’s like OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND.
(and I don’t want that to happen to you as there has never been an opportunity
to leverage social media and technology to grow your business this FAST)
When you set up your social media channels CORRECTLY ,( like I love to teach my
students) , it’s like winning an Oscar in your market.
Your fans and prospects will LOVE you and already feel like they know you
because of your conversations on your Social Media sites.
When I say your TARGET audience, It’s NOT about the number of followers you
have it’s about connecting with your real Fans. This also demonstrates the
power of the 80/20 Pareto Principle (where 20% of your efforts will produce
80% of your results)
Your true fans and customers will create 80% of your profits, so why would you
not leverage the power of social media to increase your visibility in your market
and ATTRACT your ideal clients?
The doors to my Social Media Traffic Blueprint Program have been closed for months
now and after many requests to re-open the doors, I have been working behind
the scenes to UPDATE, ADD to & CREATE even more cutting edge strategies
to help you increase your results in your business.
Stay tuned for my announcement shortly where I will Reveal the NEW
” Social Media Traffic Blueprint 2.0″
a hint…it’s all about getting to the “next level” with Social Media & Video
Until then Happy Oscars night and talk soon!

So often business people ignore this stuff as the things that kids spend their time on.
Truth is most kids don’t use twitter, it’s the professionals, business people and entrepreneurs using it. We are the ones with the money to buy smartphones etc.
Twitter is a fantastic place to grow your brand but you already know that

Hey Maria,
like this one here. I think social media is gradually taking the lead. About 20% of my website visitors come from social websites. It really helps!

I think that asking whether it’s worth to spend time on social media is kindof like asking whether it’s worth talking to people about your business.
So I think the important thing here is not the social media per se but the act of actually marketing yourself using social media as a communication tool for reaching out and connecting with people.
Social media is merely a technology just like any other.. like for instance telephones or TVs have been during the 1900s.

Hi Maria, I am so glad I came across your blog. You can thank Molly for that. I like the way you write and I was thinking, I can’t wait to dig into some of the other less popular social networks too. Even though I am still breaking ground on the big three, there are so many other good networks out there just waiting to be tapped into.
